アクティビティ2：サイコロに前置詞（on / in / under / between）を書いた紙を貼ったもの

前置詞（on/in/under）を学習したあと、途中で質問をしながら読み聞かせをしましょう。

T: Where is the dog?
S1: On the boy.
S2: Under the cat.

1） 全員に紙を1枚ずつ配り、絵本に登場した人や動物のように、寝ている人や動物の絵を描く。

T: Please draw a picture of somebody who is sleeping, or some animals which are sleeping.

2） 1）で描いた絵をはさみで切り抜き、裏に小さく切ったマグネットシートを貼る。ベッドの絵の裏にもマグネットシートを貼っておく。

T: Cut out the pictures you drew. Then, stick a magnet sheet onto the back of each pictures.

3） ホワイトボードにベッドの絵を貼っておく。一人が自分が描いた絵を持ってホワイトボードの前に立ち、ホワイトボードに貼ってあるベッドの絵の上に好きなように自分が描いた絵を貼っていく。その間、他の生徒は見ないように顔を伏せておく。

T: S1, please bring your pictures and come up to the front. Here is a bed. Put your pictures on the bed as you like. Everybody else, put your face down on the desk until I say okay.

4） 先生の合図で、他の生徒は顔を上げてホワイトボードに貼ってある絵を10秒だけ見ることができる。10秒経ったら、先生はバンダナで絵を隠す。

T: Now everybody, you can raise your face and look at the picture for 10 seconds. Ten, nine, eight, ……three, two, one, times up!

5） 他の生徒たちは、今見た絵について思い出しながら英語で描写する。絵を貼った生徒はそれが正解なら、”That’s right.”、不正解なら、”Sorry, please try again.”と答える。

T: Do you remember anything about the picture? Please describe the picture, for example like, “There is _____ on/in/under a ________.”
S2: There is a cat on a boy.
S1: That’s right!
S3: I know! There is a bird under a rabbit.
S1: Sorry. Please try again.

同様に他の生徒も一人ずつ自分が描いた絵をホワイトボードに貼り、他の生徒はその絵を描写する。

1） 絵本を読み終わったら、前置詞を書いた紙が貼られているサイコロを見せながら、全員で確認をする。

T: What’s this?
Ss: サイコロ。
T: Yes, it’s a dice. Does it have numbers on it?
Ss: No.
T: What do you see on the dice? Let’s read the words together.
T & Ss: On / In / Under / Between.

2） 一人ずつ順番にサイコロを転がす。出た目の前置詞を使って、先生が開いた絵本のページにある絵について描写する。

T: S2, please roll the dice.
S2: （サイコロを転がし、出た目の前置詞を言う）On.
T: OK. I’m going to open the book. （あるページを開く） Please describe the picture, using the word “on.”
S2: These is a mouse on a cat.
T: Very good!

全員が必ず1回以上は言えるよう、同様につづける。

※サイコロを2つ用意し、二つの前置詞を使って描写をしてもよいでしょう。
例）There is a cat on a dog in a house.

絵本を読んだあとに、絵について覚えているかどうか質問をしてみましょう。

“Where was the mouse?”
“Was the dog on the child?”
